When did you start your website and why?
I began the concept and design of Easy Peddler about 4 years ago. I felt that the local Monopolies offering online classifieds and advertising services were too overpriced and impractical for todays standards. I believe that Easy Peddler is a look to the future. By offering a venue that gives the customers the ability to interact with their listings is not only practical but far more logical than the less contemporary classified venues available. By using Easy Peddler the customer may go online and update anything they feel necessary to better their chances in selling their items, from the description to the price the customer always has full control.
Is the site moderated? What are the benefits?
Yes the site is moderated. Although the listings are real-time and activated immediatly, every listings is reviewed and deleted if not in compliance with Easy Peddler policy. We also offer Help and Security sections of the Web site to advise users as to what we consider a clean and secure venue. One of the benefits is that we don't allow self-promotion of any kind within the listings. Now this may turn a couple customers away from Easy Peddler, but in all actuality when someone is searching for an automobile they don't want to read about another sellers "Get Rich Quick" service. Prohibiting self-promotion and advertising within the listings not only offers customers a clean venue to search through but may also deter would be scammers looking to prey on others.
What fees are involved when using Easy Peddler?
The cost of using Easy Peddler is only one dollar per listing and the listing is good for one month. Unlike other classified venues we feel that why should the customer spend a fortune on selling something they already paid for? And why should the customer have to pay a commission on something that is theirs?
I noticed that a lot classifieds offer free listings, why would I choose Easy Peddler?
First let me just stress that everything has a price. If someone is offering a service for free then chances are they're making money advertising or by some pay per click service. But I know when I'm searching for something I do not want to be bombarded with advertisments or pop-ups during the process, or waiting for page loads becuase the classifieds section is on a free shared server with many other Web sites. The fees associated with Easy Peddler will never change, and since Easy Peddler is run on multiple dedicated servers we will always have the best performance available. Our mission is to provide a fair priced, high performace venue that customers can appreciate.
What features can I expect when using Easy Peddler?
Aside from a clean selling venue and a secure marketplace Easy Peddler offers tools to make your experience a little easier. We offer the option to use multiple images within your listings to provide visitors with a visual presentation as well as a written one. Image hosting is done by Easy Peddler and is at no additional cost to our customers. Customers also have the option to View, Edit, and Delete there own listings whenever they feel necessary. Customers also have the option of different methods of funding their account, they have the ability to view and print billing summaries from prior billing cycles, view history of prior listings, etc. All of these features are available from within their Easy Peddler account.
Is there any promotions available to new customers?
Yes, all new customers will be given $15.00 in free listing credits until July 31, 2007. You may list up to 15 items for free just to get a feel of what Easy Peddler has to offer. Also, all new Pennsylvania registrations will be entered to win a 80 gb Apple iPod being given away August 1, 2007. Account registration is always free.
