When did you start your website and why?
Last fall, I was getting more and more requests and inquiries about having a site from clients and associates. It was long overdue.
Please give us a short summary of your website, business model, etc
Online portfolio, creating Illustrations for advertising, editorial, corporate, and institutional use. Providing a wide range of styles in both digital and traditional medium.
What has been the most difficult part of creating and running your website?
At first it was difficult to find the time and locate people that could, or would help answer my questions. Finaly, I just made the time. I did research on the web, tried to educate myself as best I could, and learned as much as I thought I needed to know to be able to put a site together. Once I had the information it was actually easy, a bit time consuming, because of the learning curve, but not as bad as I thought, it was well worth it, I learned a lot.

Keeping it updated

Waiting so long to do it

I do with the help of my web host
Tell us how your business has benefitted from your website?
I've been receiving more and more call as a result of the exposure. I have also been getting requests from other countries
What are your views on ecommerce and the future of the internet?
I think it's here to stay, and will only continue to grow in popularity and importance. As with most things, you do need to take certain precautions, there are pros and cons, but overall it's a good thing. The reach, convenience, and speed are what makes it attractive.

Directories, and linking or posting to similar sites
What method has been least successful for promoting your website?
Some directories work well, others don't, you never know untill you get a history of results
What would you like to see change with respect to the internet?
A little more regulation.
