My name is Jim Shaw and I was born in England in 1930 to a family whose main hobby was enjoying motorcycling. Both of my grandads' rode bikes, one was a Levis which had belt drive and a hand operated oil pump which lubricated the engine. My grandad Jim, rode a Dunelt 2 stroke. Both of those makes have long dissapeared. My mother and her brothers' all rode at an early age so with my dad never being happier than when he was sitting on a motorcycle seat, I suppose it was inevitable that I would be a biker.
