When did you start your website and why?
We have a couple of websites, we run a tanning shop and have been selling swimwear out of our shop for about a year. This year we decided to open a new online site for swimwear.. our sites include Solarescape.com and shopsolarescape.com and a couple others

Our website sells swimwear, we combined our tanning business with the swimwear. We also have a travel site and we use all three to cross promote each other.
What has been the most difficult part of creating and running your website?
Information sites are easy, but shopping carts are another ball game. Uploading products and mataining product inventory is always difficult. We have been working on the site for months and still keep tweeking and adding things on a daily basis..
What has been the easist past of operating your website?
There hasnt really been and easy part to it.. theres always something to maintain.
What was your biggest mistake?
The designing is always something you second guess yourself. You always wonder if its right.. and constantly trying to judge it..
Who maintains your website and why?
i do all the maintaining.. Partly beacuse its what i enjoy doing and beacuse i want to have a clear picture of whats going on. Hopefully one day we can be big enough to add more employees for this department.
Tell us how your business has benefitted from your website?
when talking for all the websites we own, its drawn new clients to our doors. It helps us reach out to customers and in todays age its all about websites..
What are your views on ecommerce and the future of the internet?
i think the internet is the way to go.. there are so many new business opening up every day.. its the convenence of being at home working, or being at home shopping. The internet is the best way to comunicate and i believe its only going to get better as the years go by..
What are your views on Search Engine Optimization (SEO)?
Im a firm believer of SEO, we spent the extra money to get all the tools we need to optimize our site. The results dont lie.. its the only way to get good listings..
What are your views on Search Engines? Have they helped or hindered your website?
of course search engines help, any form of advertising helps.
What method has been most successful for promoting your website?
email has worked great and we do use things like shopzilla.com , We test new things and it can be pretty expensive testing what works for a site.
What method has been least successful for promoting your website?
Suprisingly we made $20 gift cards and have been passing them out to clients , not sure why no one has used them yet but it could be because its somthing they hold on too, this promotion is only been a few weeks so we will see..
What would you like to see change with respect to the internet?
all the price wars.. to many companies trying to out beat the other guy.. and in return devalues products.
