Name of your website?

Droopy Tee's - School, Church and Non-Profit Fund Raising

Your name?

Terry Nicholson

Your Location (city, etc)

West Union

Please give us a short summary of your website?

Droopy Tee's offers a unique fund raising program that works for you 24/7. We give you a FREE website stocked with over 200 items ready to be customized with your groups photos, artwork, logos, slogans...etc. You can set the prices of your merchandise. We give you FREE hosting, FREE Shipping to the addresses you specify. We also offer you a wholesale(Bulk Price) so you can order in advanced and sell at your events. This is a FREE, NO RISK, NO OBLIGATION Program!

What inspired you to launch your own website?

I have 2 daughters in school and they kept bringing home the same fund raising programs. We all know them, cookie dough, candy, candles....etc. These are fine fundraisers, but when they are over that's it they stop producing money. Which is the whole point of a fund raiser, right? So this got me to thinking. I already had a modestly successful print on demand business, so I came up with the idea to incorporate it into a fund raising business for schools, churches, non-profit organizations, school bands, little league...etc. You get the idea. So I came up with the concept you see right now. I offer a Website with over 200 unique items, such as Bumper Stickers, Mouse Pads, Magnets, Car Window Signs, Coffee Mugs, Key Chains, T-Shirts, Hats, Calenders, Greeting Cards and a whole lot more and I'm adding new items all the time. Right now we just added customizable playing card, you can add your photo, artwork, logo, slogan to the back of the cards, either the same image on the whole deck or a different image on each card. To celebrate this new product we are offering 1 FREE DECK and half off each additional deck(no limit). Just got to HERE. When you are done designing your deck of cards, proceed to the check out and then enter this code FREEDECK. You will then be given credit for the amount of the purchase, if you have 2 or more decks ordered the first on will be FREE and each additional deck will be half off.

When did you launch your first website, and what was it?

I launched my first website in 2005 and it was just a personal website but I liked it and as time passed I opened the present one Droopy Tees.

What makes your website different from other, similar offerings?

I check into some of the other websites offering online fund raising and I noticed very few offered them at no cost and no obligation. So I figured what the heck it wasn't costing me anymore to host their sites and I figured I throw in FREE SHIPPING as well. So that's what I feel makes us a little better than the competition.

What is your eventual goal? (To sell it, keep it for income, secure a book or other mainstream media deal?)

My eventual goal is to keep it. I would like to see it grow into a widely used fund raising source, but if it doesn't I'm quite happy supplying my local area schools, churches and such.

How does your investment of time and money balance against your success?

It all balances out pretty well, like the saying goes you only get out of it what you put into it. I have invested a lot of time and effort into this program, but the biggest feeling of accomplishment I get is seeing my customers satisfied at the end of the day.

If you had an unlimited development budget for development, how would you change your site?

I think I would hire someone to do all the website work....haha. That is what takes up most of my time.

If your site got really big, really quickly, would you be able to keep up with the demand?

Yes, that would not be a problem. It would have to really really really get big for me not to be able to keep up with the demand.

What unexpected costs and headaches have you had to deal with?

Nothing to unexpected luckily has came along. I feel pretty lucky in that aspect of this adventure so far.

What has been your biggest challenge?

My biggest challenge so far has been getting website traffic. That is an area I'm still working on. I hope to have it where I want it within the next year, but who knows it could happen within the next 5 or 6 months.

What method has been most successful for promoting your website?

Forums, Blogs and good old word of mouth. They have brought me the most success as far as bringing traffic to Droopy T's Domain Names and Web Hosting. Yes, it's part of the Droopy Tee's Family. So for the shameless self promo. :) throw a website together and sit back and reap the rewards. NO SUCH LUCK...It turned out that it takes a little more work then that.

How long have you run the site already, and how long will you continue to keep it up if you don't enjoy big gains in traffic, income or popularity?

I have had my site up and running now for 2 years and will continue to run it until I can no longer afford to keep it up or there is no longer a need for fund raising. I don't see any shortage of either anywhere in the near future. So stop on by www.droopytees.com or www.droopyteesdomains.com and check out what all we have to offer. We offer more than just fund raising programs. We have a complete Drop Shipping Program for those of you interested in selling on Ebay or your own website. We also offer a VIP Domain Name Store, both of these stores offer reduced purchase prices on merchandise which give you more of a markup margin which equals greater profit than a free store.
