High Roller Toys Interview

By Interviewer at 12/12/08 12:17

Name of your website?

High Roller Toys

Your name?

Brian Gidda

Your Location (city, etc)

Blaine

Please give us a short summary of your website?

A unique and innovative collection of gifts and products... Brand Name Electronics, Hardware, Housewares, Jewelry, Computers, Gifts and More... for the wildly thoughtful man and woman.

What inspired you to launch your own website?

The desire to provide quality gifts for the Public. You'll find some very exciting products here!

When did you launch your first website, and what was it?

It was a motivational type website... it thankfully died a quick death!

How did you decide on a name for your website?

I wanted a name that captured the excitement and desire that the purchase of quality products can bring. Hence, the name... and the byline... Unique Gifts for the Wildly Thoughtful

What makes your website different from other, similar offerings?

The rarity of the products... you won't the same products offered elsewhere on some site... each are carefully selected because of their quality... and the long lasting value they provide customers

What is your eventual goal? (To sell it, keep it for income, secure a book or other mainstream media deal?)

The goal is to grow it out to offer many more products

How does your investment of time and money balance against your success?

It balances well.

If you had an unlimited development budget for development, how would you change your site?

I don't believe I'd change too much if I had an unlimited development budget. Not having one makes me search for low cost effective marketing techniques a little more diligently.

If your site got really big, really quickly, would you be able to keep up with the demand?

If site got big, yes I would be able to keep up with demand since I'm installing business processes as I go... and these can be outsourced.

What unexpected costs and headaches have you had to deal with?

Too many to mention... it's part of business, yes?

What has been your biggest challenge?

Creating an effective marketing plan

What method has been most successful for promoting your website?

Article Marketing, Listing in Directory and Viral Marketing

How has running your website differed from your expectations?

It's about what I expected...

How long have you run the site already, and how long will you continue to keep it up if you don't enjoy big gains in traffic, income or popularity?

5 months... am looking at operating it long term

Replace this with a question of your own

Thank You!

What is your website address?

High Roller Toys
