Please give us a short summary of your website?

Christian inspirational poetry mainly gospel poetry that encapsulates the practical experiences of walking with Christ and the challenges involved as well as the attributes that will enable one to endure until the end. The poems can be recited, copied, turned into songs and shared freely for non-commercial uses to promote the kingdom of God. Comments, suggestions and questions are welcome.

What inspired you to launch your own website?

Getting my gospel poetry to a wider audience in cyberspace, across borders, denominations, cultures and races.

When did you launch your first website, and what was it?

In December 2007 and it was www.poetforchrist.page.tl

How did you decide on a name for your website?

The content of my site led me to seek a most suitable and telling name

What makes your website different from other, similar offerings?

The graphics, the interactive nature and opportunities given to users to leave feedback.

What is your eventual goal? (To sell it, keep it for income, secure a book or other mainstream media deal?)

To eventually get my poetry published and maybe to start a fan club.

How does your investment of time and money balance against your success?

It is worth the effort as far as I can see.

If you had an unlimited development budget for development, how would you change your site?

I would definitely put some more animations and flash intros, set up a database and make it more interactive, maybe adding podcasts and mp3 audio files for free download.

If your site got really big, really quickly, would you be able to keep up with the demand?

I think so.

What unexpected costs and headaches have you had to deal with?

Mastering the templates and at times finding there are limitations to how far you can customise them.

What has been your biggest challenge?

Making a single page for each individual poem so that when one clicks on the link they are redirected to the page with that particular poem.

What method has been most successful for promoting your website?

Google Adwords

How has running your website differed from your expectations?

There is quite a lot of work to do to keep up with the updating of the iste.

How long have you run the site already, and how long will you continue to keep it up if you don't enjoy big gains in traffic, income or popularity?

It has been running for three months and i plan to keep it going indefinitely.
