When did you start your website and why?
2005 - because we are a one off rare breed - an Optomterist & optician but most importantly an England based eyeglass frame maker. There are no others.
Please give us a short summary of your website, business model, etc
our website is used mainly for promoting our Made in England eyeglass frames, spectacles and sunglasses. Whether you would like a Johhny Depp style frame or Dame Edna glasses we will make them for you.
What has been the most difficult part of creating and running your website?
anwering emails politely from potential customers, particularly Americans who do not understand standard eyewear measurements & American do not understand Metric measurements!
What has been the easiest part of operating your website?
adding new photos.
What was your biggest mistake?
on one or two occasions joining a bidding war on some google adwords.
Who maintains your website and why?
me, me, me because I do not trust others.
Tell us how your business has benefitted from your website?
we now have a much focussed & targeted customer base.
What are your views on ecommerce and the future of the internet?
we prefer email exchanges to make sure the potential customer knows excatly what we can or can not do before selling. For this reason & regretably a shopping cart is not feasible.
What are your views on Search Engine Optimization (SEO)?
I have yet to try this as google keeps asking me to.

helped, helped & helped. Personally I use these all the time.

hang the spammers who take email addresses from websites & waste so much precious time of honest folk.

What do you think of click fraud? The first search engine which can categorically guarantee this does not happen with them in a verification software process will inevitably take a lot of adwords business from google.
