When did you start your website and why?
My site was my personal webpage created in 2002. In 2006 I updated the site with a Lycos web hosting package, because I needed to expand the services and business presentation.
Please give us a short summary of your website, business model, etc
The site offers both a local service of face to face pro-active counselling and a national worldwide service via e-mail and phone. I have recently added a videophone service.
What has been the most difficult part of creating and running your website?
Learning how to edit, and editing in a non presentation mode.I wish the edit program had a spell checker.

Adding to many graphics
Who maintains your website and why?
Lycos host it, and I maintain and update the content

Since the new site went up in 2006 business has doubled.
What are your views on ecommerce and the future of the internet?
It is the only way forward
What are your views on Search Engine Optimization (SEO)?
I dont know about this. I keep my site updated with good content, no popups or gimmicks.
What are your views on Search Engines? Have they helped or hindered your website?
Yes they have helped. MSN has been best for keywords. Google has taken longer which I think is because the content is assessed over a longer period of time
What method has been most successful for promoting your website?
Search engines and directories. Adding my details in emails.
What would you like to see change with respect to the internet?
Less contention between the big players, because it is the public who suffer.
What is your reaction to a website that has popups and flashing banners.
I do not return.
