What has been the most difficult part of creating and running your website?
The most difficult part with any internet project is publicity. It takes a lot of time money and effort to convince enough people to visit and register on any website. But we’ve been luck sofa; Artists are really showing great interest.
What has been the easist part of operating your website?
The easiest part was creating something that I’ve always wonted. As African artists, I have not seen many websites really representing the talents the Africans are blessed to have. So this was a great opportunity to finally show the greatest blessings God gave Africans.
What was your biggest mistake?
The website is fairly new and we haven’t noticed any mistake yet; it seems like we are heading on the right track sofa.
Who maintains your website and why?
I personally maintain all my websites and whenever I don’t have time to do this, I employ a webmaster but I authorise all the work before it is published. This is because I aim to keep the standard and quality of work published and to ensure that all publications meet our user’s needs.
Tell us how your business has benefitted from your website?
The benefits we have got through TalentedAfricans.com are that we get to meet a variety of Great African Talents that most of us never even thought exist. We also get the opportunity to participate and stand in the gap as we all endeavour to put Africa on top of the list in western entertainment world.
What are your views on ecommerce and the future of the internet?
Internet is the way baby, no other medium can ever beat it. It is growing at tremendous speed. And soon it will be like salt in food that most people won’t be able to do without. Ecommerce is making it possible for people all over the world to buy and sell items with out spending an enormous amount of money physically visiting shops in other countries like we used to do a few years ago; giving you a chance to shop in your own comfort.
What are your views on Search Engine Optimization (SEO)?
This needed for all sites in order to be downloadable even on the slowest internet connection. It’s entirely on the webmaster’s desecration to decide what sort of audience they plan to reach.
What are your views on Search Engines? Have they helped or hindered your website?
Search engines are playing the most important roles in internet advertising. They help every one get to websites that may not even be advertised anywhere at all. We definitely need more of them.
What method has been most successful for promoting your website?
Search engines submissions and mySpace.com have been the most successful methods for us
What method has been least successful for promoting your website?
“Word of mouth” this has been the least successful. Most people don’t get time to write the website name down. So by the time they want to visit it, they have already forgotten it; so they still end up using search engines to find the site.
What would you like to see change with respect to the internet?
I would like to see more security on the web and free internet service providers in all third world countries.
