to enhance my culinary career and also give and share recipes from my experience

Ian Sherlock 'The Thailand Action Chef' was born in April 1968 and hails from Preston, Lancashire in England . His life has been an adventure in cooking.

Starting his career in the UK at the early age of 15 from the potwash , the award winning chef has spent the past 17 years traveling the world working in places as diverse as Hong Kong, Dubai , Morocco , Bahrain , Indonesia, Germany, Bangkok, and is now working on a project with a major hotel in Phuket, Thailand He has worked for some of the worlds leading hotels including the Mandarin Oriental Hong Kong, Island Shangri La Hong Kong, Bangkok Marriott Resort and Spa, Banyan Tree Bangkok, Royal Mirage Dubai, Hotel Inter-Continental Dubai, Le Royal Meridien Manama Bahrain, Hyatt Regency Casablanca Morocco, Nusa Dua Beach Hotel Bali Indonesia and Munich City Hilton Germany . He regards himself as a self-motivated team player who is flexible and open minded. An excellent communicator, who is passionate about his love of cooking and always strives to deliver real quality in all that he creates

A competent linguist, he is happiest when around people or by complete contrast camping in some remote destination enjoying the great wonders of nature. Music is also an inspiration and passion that reflects his born artistic tendencies. Relaxation can be found in riding custom bikes or in the completion of his many pencil drawings and paintings, photography or interior design.

When did you start your website and why?

After living and working in Thailand for the last five years I felt the time were right for passing some of my knowledge on to others.

Please give us a short summary of your website, business model, etc

What has been the most difficult part of creating and running your website?

My biggest challenge this far has been to learn the programming side of writing "modern" web site with a database backend and html front end. I will not say it has been difficult but still probably the most difficult part in my operation

Getting the content

Not at all

What are your views on ecommerce and the future of the internet?

Not for me yet I guess but maybe in the future

What are your views on Search Engine Optimization (SEO)?

Just started it and it is fun although I am not very good at it. How ever the apache mod_rewrite is funny and a very powerful tool i will start using very soon.

What would you like to see change with respect to the internet?

I have been surfing the web since 1996 and today internet is "there" already. I have no problem finding the info I've been looking fior online ever. I wish that the future would be run more like shopping cahnnels, entertainment cahnnels but that is already almost in place.
