What inspired you to launch your own website?

To put my life and experiences as a professional chef on the web, and to let my friends and colleagues get in touch.

When did you launch your first website, and what was it?

My own ! first launched in 2005, revamped for 2007

How did you decide on a name for your website?

Easy - it's all about me, my work and life !

Please give us a short summary of your website?

Its my personal and also professional website - including recipes, menus, photos, and much more stuff.

What makes it different from other, similar offerings?

I think it has a more personal feel to it than some of the others in my field.

What is your eventual goal? (To sell it, keep it for income, secure a book or other mainstream media deal?)

I'll keep it and keep adding to it !

How does your investment of time and money balance against your success?

It complements it.

If you had an unlimited development budget for development, how would you change your site?

I'd have someone full time on the SEO and probably sell some of my gear on it - all in good time, chef's are busy you know !

If your site got really big, really quickly, would you be able to keep up with the demand?

Yes

What unexpected costs and headaches have you had to deal with?

The time involved planning it out in detail, though I think its paid off..

What has been your biggest challenge?

planning it out in detail, more than 1000 pages including photos...

What method has been most successful for promoting your website?

Contacting friends and colleagues around the world, and building relevant links to & from other relevant sites.

How has running your website differed from your expectations?

It hasn't - though I'm supriseed by the number of different countries visitors come from.

How long have you run the site already, and how long will you continue to keep it up if you don't enjoy big gains in traffic, income or popularity?

Oh, I'll keep on going till the end of the road, maybe longer :)

This is my first and only website. it was launched in 2004.

It is what I do.

The web is work-related so it shows my rate/resume and work schedule.

What makes it different from other, similar offerings?

Clients can check my availability from the 3-month calendars.

What is your eventual goal? (To sell it, keep it for income, secure a book or other mainstream media deal?)

to maintain my visibility.

How does your investment of time and money balance against your success?

50/50

If you had an unlimited development budget for development, how would you change your site?

add some animation to it and submit it to as many browsers as I can.

If your site got really big, really quickly, would you be able to keep up with the demand?

Yes.

What unexpected costs and headaches have you had to deal with?

None.

to generate traffic to the web.

What method has been most successful for promoting your website?

giving out my personal visiting cards.

None.

about how it is for farangs in thailand, things you shud know, things and fact about stuff you usally come up to. wh you stay, travel or go on hollyday n thailand

have great info about info in thailand, maps of bangkok, pattaya... raqdio channels. homedelivery companys over there. cheep hotels and so:)

just make a site so farangs can share info:)
