Name of your website?Kristoria Productions
Your name?
Kristynn
Your Location (city, etc)
San Antonio
Please give us a short summary of your website?
We have always increasing amounts of videos and pictures taken by Kristynn Bolding and Victoria Ramirez. We also include a playlist of songs that we turn into our own music viedos and many macros that we have taken.
What inspired you to launch your own website?
Originally we wanted all of our friends to see the funny and stupid videos that we have been making for such a long time, and we decided to put them on Geocities then we were further inspired to make it a better website because of iCarly.
When did you launch your first website, and what was it?
We first started our website on February 12. It was still the same video productions website that it is now, although there was much less content than there is now.
How did you decide on a name for your website?
It was the first four letters of my name, (Kristynn) the last four of Vicky's (Victoria) and the "t" that we share.
What makes your website different from other, similar offerings?
The website is well put together, is easy to navigate, is easy on the eyes, has nothing needing to be downloaded, and contains lot of funny amateur videos and pictures. It has just the right amount of content making for a fast load time.
What is your eventual goal? (To sell it, keep it for income, secure a book or other mainstream media deal?)
Maybe to eventually make some sort of income on the side.
How does your investment of time and money balance against your success?
We can only assume that all the time and money put into the site will pay off in the end when we begin to make an income off of it. So far though; there has been lots of sowing, not so much reaping.
If you had an unlimited development budget for development, how would you change your site?
Buy an actual domain name, for starters, advertise, and host our own videos and pictures.
If your site got really big, really quickly, would you be able to keep up with the demand?
Probably not. There are only three of us working on the website although we may be able to get a few family members or friends to help out.
What unexpected costs and headaches have you had to deal with?
Broken computers, and a broken camera.
What has been your biggest challenge?
The loss of the directory of nearly all of our videos and pictures. We are working on retrieving those files at the moment, but Victoria is out of town.
What method has been most successful for promoting your website?
I would have to say Myspace, although it hasn't been doing us very much good.
How has running your website differed from your expectations?
We all thought it would be less work and less time consuming. I know I hadn't expected so many obstacles to come up.
How long have you run the site already, and how long will you continue to keep it up if you don't enjoy big gains in traffic, income or popularity?
It has only been four months and so far we havn't had very much traffic and that's why we came to this website. We do intend to keep it up at least while we are in school, which is quite a few more years.
