FC Barcelona Blog Interview

By Interviewer at 02/29/08 12:43

Name of your website?

FC Barcelona Blog

Your name?

Francisco

Your Location (city, etc)

Barcelona

Please give us a short summary of your website?

The site provides fresh information around FC Barcelona. games previus, highlights, transfer rumours, etc...

What inspired you to launch your own website?

I'm a FC Barcelona fan, so wanted to talk about an issue of interest.

When did you launch your first website, and what was it?

It was launched in January 2008, and it has been always an independent blog that features FC Barcelona

How did you decide on a name for your website?

It's relevant to the site's content

What makes it different from other, similar offerings?

It might offer a different point of view about FC Barcelona, as I give my personal opinion about topics around the team.

What is your eventual goal? (To sell it, keep it for income, secure a book or other mainstream media deal?)

It's a non-profit site. It's a personal interest what drives me to build the site

How does your investment of time and money balance against your success?

My investment has been low, so I'll measure my success based on levels of traffic and comments on the blog.

If you had an unlimited development budget for development, how would you change your site?

I'd build and include gadgets and I'll add more content.

If your site got really big, really quickly, would you be able to keep up with the demand?

I keep the level of the site under control, as it's just based on content.

What unexpected costs and headaches have you had to deal with?

nothing really.

What has been your biggest challenge?

The biggest challenge is to keep up with the news that happen around the team.

What method has been most successful for promoting your website?

Using a SEO friendly blog software and adding content frequently kept the site ranking in the search engines.

How has running your website differed from your expectations?

It's early to evaluate

How long have you run the site already, and how long will you continue to keep it up if you don't enjoy big gains in traffic, income or popularity?

It's been running 2 months and I'll keep running it for as long as I keep my interest in the football team.

What is your website address?
