Suncadia United is a soccer club catering for the communities of Sunnyside and Arcadia in the City of Tshwane South Africa. The club was started to offer youth an alternative to the social ills prevalent in the community. Most players are students at a number of tertaiary institutions in the city and come from far off poor rural areas. Others are unemployed youth who made their way to the city to seek employment.
What inspired you to launch your own website?
The website is aimed at attracting support from the local and international community who share our aims and objectives and are willing to assist these young men and women enjoy a better life.
When did you launch your first website, and what was it?
The site was launched after the establishment of the club on 29 January 2009.
How did you decide on a name for your website?
The website represents the name of the club (Suncadia United) which is represented of two communities namely Sunnyside and Arcadia.
What makes your website different from other, similar offerings?
Ours is about youth and community development. Getting those with resources and skills to aid those who are struggling with life's daily challenges
What is your eventual goal? (To sell it, keep it for income, secure a book or other mainstream media deal?)
To build a strong sports and recreation club in the communities of Sunnyside and Arcadia that will keep our young people in structured organisations of fun and off the street.

If you had an unlimited development budget for development, how would you change your site?
we would change the lives of our young people dramatically by offering them opportunities for careers in sport, leadership development and a home where they can receive social and health services.
If your site got really big, really quickly, would you be able to keep up with the demand?
Get more volunteers to manage the site
What unexpected costs and headaches have you had to deal with?
Cost of soccer kits, training equipment, transport to matches and meals for these young men and women who are really struggling.
