SA Swop Shop is a FREE service to the South African Public to offer good quality used products for sale.
What inspired you to launch your own website?
The fact that service on many websites are not good. We will strive to give the ultimate in service, user-friendliness and support.
When did you launch your first website, and what was it?
SA Swop Shop started out as a Free, Forum based service in November 2007. Our success made it mandatory to move on to a New, Better, Permanent Site.
How did you decide on a name for your website?
SA Swop Shop is all about quality used items and we thought "Swop Shop" says it all.
What makes it different from other, similar offerings?
Our Free ads runs for thirty days, or till you delete it yourself, whichever comes first. What's more, you may resubmit your ad after the 30 days if you are still looking for a buyer.
We pride ourselves in friendly human support, with quick response times.
What is your eventual goal? (To sell it, keep it for income, secure a book or other mainstream media deal?)
Our goal is to provide an honesty first service.
How does your investment of time and money balance against your success?
Will have to wait and see ... -;)
If you had an unlimited development budget for development, how would you change your site?
The site won't change much, but with enough capital it could be made known far and wide.
If your site got really big, really quickly, would you be able to keep up with the demand?
For sure ... yes

Fraudulent web hosting companies ... was ripped of by two

Publicity ... and it still is ...

How has running your website differed from your expectations?
Not an issue at all ...
How long have you run the site already, and how long will you continue to keep it up if you don't enjoy big gains in traffic, income or popularity?
We launched on the 2nd of April 2008 and will constantly strive to become the most popular in our field
Do you run competitions from time to time ?
We do. Presently we have a Tell-A-Friend campaign. The winner will be drawn and publicised at the end of June 2008.
