What inspired you to launch your own website?
I wanted to be a technopreneur and this is my starting point to have a Pay per use web based application. In near future looking into developing web based applications that can be used on mobile phones.
When did you launch your first website, and what was it?
MyCura is my first website, still under soft launch. Planning to give a full launch early next month with some advertising on Google.
How did you decide on a name for your website?
Name was just an accidental invention, found that it too has some meaning. The name just sounds cute.
What makes your website different from other, similar offerings?
Some are totally free where as other charge a bomb. Im trying to strike a balance between the two. Providing Enterprise survey system with no lock up or recurring fees.
What is your eventual goal? (To sell it, keep it for income, secure a book or other mainstream media deal?)
Mission to be get MyCura's user base to 10000 in next one year. I'm looking more applications of this sort, though identified a few, to provide technologically pioneered applications for small businesses with no lock up / recurring fees.
How does your investment of time and money balance against your success?
First its about passion, Investment of time is invaluable. We have made lots of sacrifices to get things up and running, yet passion overrides all. I have enough fuel to keep my passion up and more supporters joining me to fuel this venture. Its encouraging.
If you had an unlimited development budget for development, how would you change your site?
If I keep changing/ developing, then I would not launch anything. There should be some constraint. Either budget or time, even if I have budget to burn, I will make some logical stop to get my site rollover to public. May be there are few new stuff added in every week!
If your site got really big, really quickly, would you be able to keep up with the demand?
With current levels of support and health, I hope I can keep up the demand. My target are already set at high levels to ensure we are always prepared.
What unexpected costs and headaches have you had to deal with?
Retraining of a Resource is the biggest pain.
What has been your biggest challenge?
Testing the whole website when ever a change is to be implemented to production. I want to ensure no parts are affected during any deployment, all the related test cases are executed.
What method has been most successful for promoting your website?
Not sure, still exploring
How has running your website differed from your expectations?
Im still a newbie, Hope I can answer this after a year or so.
How long have you run the site already, and how long will you continue to keep it up if you don't enjoy big gains in traffic, income or popularity?
As I said the site is just launched. In worst case scenario, site would be alive for at least 3 years.
