When did you start your website and why?
I started this website after finding it very confusing to send flowers to germany for a funeral.
Please give us a short summary of your website, business model, etc
Our business model is a portal type where we are affiliated with major florist networks and provide an interface where all of them are available to be reviewed with a price comparison or by country selection by the customer who needs to send flowers abroad.
What has been the most difficult part of creating and running your website?
Creating has been easy but the marketing and SEO techniques are the hardest.
What has been the easist part of operating your website?
Setting the hosting up and now that we use a SEO orietated web builder software package Xsite Pro uploading and getting SEO right is easy. Page 1 and 2 on the SERPS in 6 weeks with over a million competing.
What was your biggest mistake?
Selecting the term send flowers abroad as it has low search volume. We may reright with different main keywords.
Who maintains your website and why?
I maintain it because I have the expertise and this allows quick reaction time as I monitor the clicks.

Our business is our website, therefore it is the front face.
What are your views on ecommerce and the future of the internet?
The internet will need to have more portal sites as the content gets more confusing. Ecommerce will continue as an important part of the internets growth, it will however never replace the look touch feel social aspect of mall shopping.
What are your views on Search Engine Optimization (SEO)?
SEO is vital as organic clicks are cheap advertising. Content is still king as it will allow you to hold your head up high when promoting your own links. The danger is that Google is still the main player and it has some very odd search algorythms that are contrary to others which seem to be more pertinent.
What are your views on Search Engines? Have they helped or hindered your website?
Overall they have helped.
What method has been most successful for promoting your website?
Article writing and posting on forums and blogs. Linking to high page rank directories.
What method has been least successful for promoting your website?
Submitting to free pay per click directories with low search volumes.
What would you like to see change with respect to the internet?
I would like to see a user rank which allows each viewer of a website to rank how relevant it was to the search term used so that users rank the web and not Google type nerds.
