We believe in natural skin care and so use aromatherapy and naturopathic principles to skillfully blend pure essential oils, plant extracts and herbs. We strive to create unique, quality skincare at a reasonable price, because everyone deserves the joy of natural beauty!
What inspired you to launch your own website?
I have always created my own skincare, using natural ingredients, and after producing several items for family and friends I waas thrilled at the wonderful results they saw! I decided, through further study and research, to produce a wider range of products suitable for all skin types, and have maintained very reasonable prices as I believe skincare is a need, not a luxury!
When did you launch your first website, and what was it?
This is my first website, launched around a year ago. Im thrilled with the responses from customers, and all the advice I have received, so, please, keep it coming!
How did you decide on a name for your website?
I didn't have to decide, I always knew what it would be!
What makes your website different from other, similar offerings?
I think the main difference with Hippy Heaven Natural Beauty is the personalised way customers are able to request their own skincare, developed especially for them. This takes into account any allergies, ingredients the customer would like used, and research into results the customer is looking for and particular skin conditions they may have.
What is your eventual goal? (To sell it, keep it for income, secure a book or other mainstream media deal?)
I have reached my goal - to be able to provide unique, quality skincare, with a treatment focus, at a reasonable price! Thankyou to everyone who helped make this possible!
How does your investment of time and money balance against your success?
I dont rate my sucess in this way, but rather in the 100% satisfaction I have achieved with my customers, and via their exceptional feedback. Knowing people are happoer with their skin is my sucess.
If you had an unlimited development budget for development, how would you change your site?
I would love to be able to extend into overseas sales, but at the moment I only have public liability cover for Australian sales. Thats my goal for next financial year!
If your site got really big, really quickly, would you be able to keep up with the demand?
Yes, absolutely! I have already made enquiries into larger much production using my ingredients, so I'm just waiting on those big orders now!
What unexpected costs and headaches have you had to deal with?
I believe I planned fairly well, and so have not had any nasty surprises, although I do find internet paid advertising can be a drain!
What has been your biggest challenge?
To provide customers with the large range they are looking for, while being able to stock the ingredients required for these.
What method has been most successful for promoting your website?
I have found great sucess adding my URL to business directories associated with, or with categories related to, my field.
How has running your website differed from your expectations?
The website is just as I expected, and a lot of fun!
How long have you run the site already, and how long will you continue to keep it up if you don't enjoy big gains in traffic, income or popularity?
I have been running the site for a year now, and Hippy Heaven Natural Beauty is here to stay, I will work in with my customer, old and new, to ensure their satisfaction to keep the business going!
What is your favourite part of the business?
Creating a new product for someone who has been unable to find a product that worked for them, and hearing from them that Hippy Heaven has provided a solution to their skincare!
