Quebec monarchist organizations Royal Society of North America Interview
Name of your website?

Royal Society of North America

Your name?

Robert Newton

Your Location (city, etc)

Montreal

Please give us a short summary of your website?

Education, information and activities about the R.S.N.A and its members around the world. Including: charities, ball, heraldry etc.

What inspired you to launch your own website?

To answer to a public need having few access to canadian informations about those matters.

When did you launch your first website, and what was it?

R.S.N.A has been founded in 1996 and the site has been launched in 1998.

How did you decide on a name for your website?

By a meeting of the Council of Governors

What makes it different from other, similar offerings?

In a way we are different because we have an international span, without borders. And of course we act on similar subjects like other monarchist organizations but we have devoted our first activities to Canadian citizens...and now...around the world.

What is your eventual goal? (To sell it, keep it for income, secure a book or other mainstream media deal?)

Probably the same as now. To continue about our educative goal, social activities and charities.

How does your investment of time and money balance against your success?

We have no limit about the time we devote about such matters. We do not search for glory or fortune...just to help peoples to have a better understanding on mnoachy, nobility etc.

If you had an unlimited development budget for development, how would you change your site?

Nothing is on the table for table about that question.

If your site got really big, really quickly, would you be able to keep up with the demand?

Sure. We are very flexible and prone to act !

What unexpected costs and headaches have you had to deal with?

Nothing serious until now.

What has been your biggest challenge?

To make understand some peoples that nobility's practices differ from a country to another. That is a great challenge but we like to work on it.

What method has been most successful for promoting your website?

On search engines and by peoples to peoples...Some directories too and public advertisement.

How has running your website differed from your expectations?

More visited than we did expect. Much visitors from different countries.

How long have you run the site already, and how long will you continue to keep it up if you don't enjoy big gains in traffic, income or popularity?

since 1998...and we expect for many years to come considering its necessity.

Replace this with a question of your own

n.a

What is your website address?

Royal Society of North America
