When did you start your website and why?
I started my website in 2006. Before that I've already been engaged in the virtual assistant business...without even knowing that there exists a term for it until recently! I've decided to formalize my business online by building a website because I felt it's the only way to expand my enterprise, with the goal of reaching potential clients abroad.
Please give us a short summary of your website, business model, etc
My company is basically engaged in the virtual assistant business. We provide administrative, technical and/or creative assistance to business owners or other professionals. We use our pool of resources and skillsets to help business owners and career professionals become more effective and productive in their industry.
Tell us how your business has benefitted from your website?
From the time that my website was up last year, my business has increased by as much as 200%. Some may think that this is an overstatement, but it's true. Having an online presence has tremendously expanded my client base especially overseas, in fact, 99% of my clients are located abroad.
What are your views on ecommerce and the future of the internet?
The future of the internet and ecommerce in general looks exciting. Even as early as now, the internet has proven itself as the equalizer for many businesses that have taken the online path. Whether you're a multinational company or a one-man enterprise, your chances of doing business online puts you on equal ground with everybody else.
As internet technology gets better all the time, I expect more interesting online business opportunities in the future that will become available to those who would grasp it and utilize it effectively.
