Beautix.com offers the latest prescription strength skin care products on the market delivered right to your door. We also carry vitamins, cosmetics, and compression garments.
What inspired you to launch your own website?
I am an indivual consultant for Beautix.com and get to provide the entire tri-state area with a skin care resource. We pride ourselves at Beautix.com in not only offering the best products on the market, but the best customer service.
When did you launch your first website, and what was it?
In 2005 I launched a website on behalf of Beautix to help raise funds for juvenile diabetes. That is actually how I got started working for the company.
How did you decide on a name for your website?
The website name was purchased from a guy who had already established his customers and was gettign out of the skin care business. But I di like the name beucase it is simple and catchy!
What makes it different from other, similar offerings?
We offer personal service. We want to provide the informaion that consumers needs to meet their skin care needs. Every skin type is different and everyone needs a customized skin care regiment.
What is your eventual goal? (To sell it, keep it for income, secure a book or other mainstream media deal?)
Beautix.com wants to become your exclusive skin care provider or not only products but information as well. We are looking to hire a consultant from every state to cover different areas to ensure the greatst customer care.
How does your investment of time and money balance against your success?
We are still in the growing process. I hope to be able to answer that question better in the near future.
If you had an unlimited development budget for development, how would you change your site?
I would have a larger inventory and a personal consultant in every state.
If your site got really big, really quickly, would you be able to keep up with the demand?
We started out by purchasing the best software programs on the market that can handle our grow. And if we keep growing.....we will just keep hiring!
What unexpected costs and headaches have you had to deal with?
The cost of advertising is crazy. I just try to make the best decision and test try different promotions before making a committment.
What has been your biggest challenge?
We are still challenging ourselves to get a higher ranking with Google.
What method has been most successful for promoting your website?
An email signature has really helped spread the word as well as our articles.
How has running your website differed from your expectations?
I find myself working long hours and investing a lot of money. Thank goodness the main office in New Orleans covers my business expenses.
How long have you run the site already, and how long will you continue to keep it up if you don't enjoy big gains in traffic, income or popularity?
I have ran my consultant side of the site since 2005....but it was not an active website at the time. We re-developed the website, research the best products, and read a lot of books for over a year. I hope to keep it up for the rest of my life. I started this because my son has juvenile diabetes and I wanted to be able to stay home with him, but still bring in an income.
Will your company be a success?
Yes! I have my heart and sole into this company and look forward to establishing lifelong customers.
