I needed a portfolio that could be easily accessed by potential clients and would promote me and my work and skills as a designer and photographer.
When did you launch your first website, and what was it?
I created smaller websites for myself, my families farm, and my friend's band when I was younger. They were very basic websites hosted on subdomains of Tripod.com. My current website was created and launched towards the end of my education at Pittsburgh Technical Institute in 2008.
How did you decide on a name for your website?
I knew that I needed a website that would use my name or some of it so that it could be found, so I used my first initial and my middle name as well and "graphic design."
What makes your website different from other, similar offerings?
My website thoroughly shows not only my graphic design skills, but my website developing skills, and my photographic ability.

I think that because my website in new the balance of my time and money and my success is not as equal as it will be in the future.

Because I developed my site myself, I don't have a development budget and wouldn't change anything on my site.
If your site got really big, really quickly, would you be able to keep up with the demand?
I believe that I would.

I've had to some problems with browser compatibility with so of the components of my site as well as finding ways to promote my site and bring people in without spending too much money to have my site listed in directories.
What has been your biggest challenge?
I have been working hard to increase traffic on my site and finding ways to get my site listed higher on search engines such as google.
What method has been most successful for promoting your website?
I have had some success with adding myself or my site to networking websites and local directories.
How has running your website differed from your expectations?
I think I was very well prepared by my teachers at PTI for what would be required to run my website.
How long have you run the site already, and how long will you continue to keep it up if you don't enjoy big gains in traffic, income or popularity?
My site was launched in the middle of the year in 2008 as I was coming to the end of my time in school. I plan to keep it up for the duration of my design career.
Why do you include Graphic Design, Web Development, and Photography in your site instead of focusing on just one?
I am hoping to be able to reach more people with my range of skills. All three of these things are things that I love to do and am passionate about and they are things that I am good at. I want to promote all of my abilities.
