Please give us a short summary of your website?
Burqe Technologies is a group of expert Software Developers and Computer Scientists who work together to provide quality IT service, consultancy and help to whoever needs. With our experianc and expertise, we can save projects from failing, identify potential failures and mistakes and bring quality soltions to complex problems.
What inspired you to launch your own website?
Not my own website. Since we are working this way for quite a long time, we decided to have our web presence where our potential customers can learn imprtant things about us
When did you launch your first website, and what was it?
it is now three months old and it contains all information of our work, our people, our clients etc.
How did you decide on a name for your website?
Burqe is english for Arabic word which means electricity. Its impression is however, much stronger. It is the name we are using for quite long.
What makes it different from other, similar offerings?
Well, we are not a company so there is no major setup, huge revenues etc. We have seen IT customers robed off thier money since they were non technical so we have decided to help and provide low cost justifyed services.
What is your eventual goal? (To sell it, keep it for income, secure a book or other mainstream media deal?)
Keep it, improve it and make some automated system to provide most of the services.
How does your investment of time and money balance against your success?
Well, website is a requirement and we are earnign against our services already. Website has not made any major difference yet but every IT related entity should have it so it is still too important.
If you had an unlimited development budget for development, how would you change your site?
Huge ideas in our mind. Actually, most of the people here are idea men or women. We have plans to invest in health and education if we get good revenues and make as much of these services free as possible
If your site got really big, really quickly, would you be able to keep up with the demand?
Our current setup is shared and has huge available bandwidth as comared to the traffic. In the case stated above however, infrastructure would have to be changed.
What unexpected costs and headaches have you had to deal with?
Nothing apparent like this. Our best efforts are to keep the team intact. People with us should remain with us as it is a very strong though small team.
What has been your biggest challenge?
In fact the same as stated above. but one more thing is to pierce into a complex, crowded and busy market. It is difficult to make the buyer listen to you.
What method has been most successful for promoting your website?
We are doing SEO and publishing in directories plus some of our customers have linked backed to us. Can't afford other promotions for the time.
How has running your website differed from your expectations?
It has been an easy and simple thing to do so far. Only need more time to add more relevent contents. Contents are good for now but needs frequent updates. May add a CMS some time soon
How long have you run the site already, and how long will you continue to keep it up if you don't enjoy big gains in traffic, income or popularity?
