Oregon Transition Movers Interview

By Interviewer at 11/15/07 05:48

Oregon, any: How you doin? Name of your website?

Oregon Transition Movers

Your name?

Chris Cator

Your Location (city, etc)

Bend

Please give us a short summary of your website?

We have a delivery and transport business. Our site tells about our services and lets consumers get to know us a little bit.

What inspired you to launch your own website?

A good marketing tool that lets consumers find us.

When did you launch your first website, and what was it?

I launched about 6 months ago and it was for my moving service.

How did you decide on a name for your website?

Just based on our business name.

What makes it different from other, similar offerings?

We are a smaller business that can handle small jobs.

What is your eventual goal? (To sell it, keep it for income, secure a book or other mainstream media deal?)

To develop a customer oriented business that I can be proud of.

How does your investment of time and money balance against your success?

So far I have had little victories but not enough to balance out my time or money.

If you had an unlimited development budget for development, how would you change your site?

More vehicles and employees (just me as of know).

If your site got really big, really quickly, would you be able to keep up with the demand?

Yes I have a few people I know that would be able to help.

What unexpected costs and headaches have you had to deal with?

So many permits and insurances.

What has been your biggest challenge?

Getting my business promoted.

What method has been most successful for promoting your website?

I have started a couple blogs that direct people to my site.

How has running your website differed from your expectations?

It has been confusing with permits.

How long have you run the site already, and how long will you continue to keep it up if you don't enjoy big gains in traffic, income or popularity?

I have ran it for 6 months and I will run it as long as I have the business.

How has starting a business affected you mentally?

I have had many ups and down.

What is your website address?
