A review and commentary of the packaging material, packaging system and industry practices. Variety of views including: proposing environment friendly packaging products and systems that will reduce our footprint, identifying new and upcoming technology products and systems used in the packaging industry, information on sourcing packaging supplies, shipping supplies and industrial supplies, focuses include wholesale sourcing, eco options sourcing, manufacturers and rating of packaging materials brands and packaging system product lines.
What inspired you to launch your own website?
To share and distribute knowledge, experience and to find and identify better solutions for the industry.
When did you launch your first website, and what was it?
The first website I launched was in 1999. It was basically an online resume that included a portfolio of work done to date.
How did you decide on a name for your website?
For my first website in 1999, I just took the first character of my first, middle and last name and registered the acronym as a domain.
For this website it was finding a name available that reflected what it was about. Since this site is about views on the packaging industry, we tried to make the name intuitive and called it Packaging-Vu.
What makes it different from other, similar offerings?
Our views weigh heavy on environment impact concerns, industry experience sourcing and procuring wholesale materials, application systems and solutions available in North America.
What is your eventual goal? (To sell it, keep it for income, secure a book or other mainstream media deal?)
Eventual goal, to be recognized as an industry expert for sourcing options, that will provide rating all North American suppliers, product lines, systems and solutions and help educate buyers with detailed ratings on suppliers.
How does your investment of time and money balance against your success?
Investment time is part time, later when the body of content is substantial that will achieve our fist goal for success. Next goal will evaluate business plan.
If you had an unlimited development budget for development, how would you change your site?
We would dedicate full time resources of our team and hire others to write content, research and compile data, collect feedback/polls, invest huge in SEO, add more tools to entice users to contribute.
If your site got really big, really quickly, would you be able to keep up with the demand?
It it really took off quickly we would get the resources.
What unexpected costs and headaches have you had to deal with?
Time it takes to build, compile data and rank.

What method has been most successful for promoting your website?
One step at a time contributing part time and keeping the end goal in sight.
How has running your website differed from your expectations?
None. Every site takes time to make it a quality experience for a user to want to read and stick around.
How long have you run the site already, and how long will you continue to keep it up if you don't enjoy big gains in traffic, income or popularity?
This site has only been up a few months. We have no plans of ever taking it down.
