Lorain County, Ohio's One-Stop-Shop for All Occasion Rental Lawn Greetings. Storks for Baby Showers/Birth Announcements, Flamingos, and many other items to celebrate all of your special occasions.

What inspired you to launch your own website?

Becoming an entrepreneur and opening own business.

When did you launch your first website, and what was it?

6/26/06 - Yard Card Surprise - http://www.YardCardSurprise.com and just finished created a DotMobi site - http://YardCardSurprise.mobi

How did you decide on a name for your website?

It was out chosen business name.

What makes it different from other, similar offerings?

We have more to offer and outstanding customer service to our local community.

What is your eventual goal? (To sell it, keep it for income, secure a book or other mainstream media deal?)

To keep it for income and to possibly branch out into franchising or business opportunities.

How does your investment of time and money balance against your success?

As we are a new business - opening 6/26/06 we are still looking to break even within the next year to 2 years.

If you had an unlimited development budget for development, how would you change your site?

We wouldn't. We like to keep it simple. Sadly enough, only approximately 70% of the USA uses the Internet.

If your site got really big, really quickly, would you be able to keep up with the demand?

Probably not as only my fiance and myself run the business.

What unexpected costs and headaches have you had to deal with?

Theft.

What has been your biggest challenge?

Keeping up with technology.

What method has been most successful for promoting your website?

Links to directories and other websites.

How has running your website differed from your expectations?

It hasn't.

How long have you run the site already, and how long will you continue to keep it up if you don't enjoy big gains in traffic, income or popularity?

Our site has been up for alittle more that 1.5 years. We will continue to keep it up as we are a home based business and our website is what people use to view our offerings. We will start going into the black this year and this business is profitable.
