Unicorn Courier Delivery Service Interview

Name of your website?

Unicorn Courier Delivery Service

Your name?

Lou Smith

Your Location (city, etc)

Fayetteville

Please give us a short summary of your website?

We provide courier delivery service from Washington, DC to Savannah, GA - On-Time, Every-Time!

What inspired you to launch your own website?

Curiosity

When did you launch your first website, and what was it?

1996 - Personal Security

How did you decide on a name for your website?

The Unicorn (from Latin unus 'one' and cornu 'horn') is a legendary creature. "The unicorn is the only fabulous beast that does not seem to have been conceived out of human fears. In even the earliest references he is fierce yet good, selfless yet solitary, but always mysteriously beautiful.

What makes it different from other, similar offerings?

Unicorn is best described as a business card online. It is straight to the point and does not waste your time.

What is your eventual goal? (To sell it, keep it for income, secure a book or other mainstream media deal?)

Simply to provide On-Time, Every-Time Courier Delivery Service.

How does your investment of time and money balance against your success?

It has grown and continues to grow. At this point, I am very pleased!

If you had an unlimited development budget for development, how would you change your site?

I wouldn't. Unicorn is not designed to be global. The I-95 corridor, from Washington, DC to Savannah, GA, is the perfect service area for Unicorn.

If your site got really big, really quickly, would you be able to keep up with the demand?

Probably not.

What unexpected costs and headaches have you had to deal with?

So far, none.

What has been your biggest challenge?

First page listing on Google, still is.

What method has been most successful for promoting your website?

As I also do SEO, I believe I will keep that to myself.

How has running your website differed from your expectations?

No difference.

How long have you run the site already, and how long will you continue to keep it up if you don't enjoy big gains in traffic, income or popularity?

The domain is a little less than a year old and will be up and running as long as I am able to work.

Not a question

Just wanted to thank you!
