When did you start your website and why?

We started in 2001 with a smaller and much narower site. We reconized the need for Nigerians to participate in the emarket place. we looked around but could not find any good solutions. We went looking for partners and put together whatwe think is a good resource for purchaseing, tradeing and earning an income from the internet

Please give us a short summary of your website, business model, etc

Opujoe.com is a web resource for nigerians to use to carry out there internet transactions. We link Nigerians with the products and services they need to maximize the ecommerce experience.

What has been the most difficult part of creating and running your website?

I would say, Finding our partners

What has been the easist part of operating your website?

Putting it up on the net

Who maintains your website and why?

Our site is maintained by our Parent comapny, why becuz we can.

Tell us how your business has benefitted from your website?

Our website is our primary means of showcaseing our products

What are your views on ecommerce and the future of the internet?

I believe that ecommerce is the new frontier in marketing all over the world, Nigerians deserve a chance to get fully involved.

What are your views on Search Engine Optimization (SEO)?

SEO`S are good for web masters and owners.

What are your views on Search Engines? Have they helped or hindered your website?

Of course they have helped us. They bring our site to the attention of customers all over Nigeria

What method has been most successful for promoting your website?

Advertising

What would you like to see change with respect to the internet?

The cost. A lot of Nigerians cannot afford the cost of internet connections. The pool of consumers would grow greatly if more people had access to the internet.
