Sage Theater Interview

By Interviewer at 06/25/07 14:52
Name of your website?

Sage Theater

Your name?

Devon

Your Location (city, etc)

New York

When did you start your website and why?

We started the Sage Theater website about 2 years ago so people can get information on our space and know what kind of events we are having.

Please give us a short summary of your website, business model, etc

At Sage Theater we regularly put business people in our shows and the audience on stage. Here, we are experimenting with relationships, the audience connection, coaching tools, leadership training, communication, curiosity and, most important, how to have a bunch of grown-ups on stage and in the audience forget themselves (or, actually, remember themselves) and have a lot of fun. It just looks like a "show".

So stay as long as you like, meet everyone and come back often. Who knows, you just may play an important part in how this experiment turns out.

We love having fun people rent our space!

What has been the most difficult part of creating and running your website?

Not having a regular webmaster

What has been the easist part of operating your website?

Giving people the address!

Who maintains your website and why?

I usually make the changes, but I need a lot of design work or html I have someone I hire hourly to do it. It's a waste of my time if I can't focus on the business.

Tell us how your business has benefitted from your website?

When people find it they really enjoy the story of how it came about. That often inspires them to give us a call.

What are your views on ecommerce and the future of the internet?

It's still new in a lot of ways and I don't think we're always using it in the best way possible.

What are your views on Search Engine Optimization (SEO)?

I would like to have a top ranking website!

What are your views on Search Engines? Have they helped or hindered your website?

I don't know how they could have hindered it.

What method has been most successful for promoting your website?

Telling people about it. Word of mouth.

What method has been least successful for promoting your website?

misspelling it.

What would you like to see change with respect to the internet?

More community and less spammers.

What is your website address?

Sage Theater
