Urdujahan, as name speaks for itself a site about promoting urdu language on the world wide web.
What inspired you to launch your own website?
Back in 2000 when i moved to US, i use to spent lot of time on internet after job, in those days i kept looking for websites in urdu,but there were only few of those and all of them were made using images not real urdu fonts,so one could not search into those sites, then i found bbc urdu website,which inspired me to make my own in urdu language.
When did you launch your first website, and what was it?
it was in January 2005,and it was a blog hosted on blogspot.
How did you decide on a name for your website?
it was pretty easy, urdu is my language, jahan which means world in urdu is part of my name,combining both i came up with urdujahan,world of urdu.
What makes your website different from other, similar offerings?
I,me and myself. None other website have this :)
What is your eventual goal? (To sell it, keep it for income, secure a book or other mainstream media deal?)
