Welcome to electronichorizons.com, where we have one of the largest online selection of electronics, electronic accessories, camcorders & cameras, pc products, home theater components, and much more! All products which will be delivered right to your doorstep!
What inspired you to launch your own website?
I saw the need to supply low cost electronic equipment all on one website. I also wanted to offer the convenience of delivering products straight to the home of my customers.
When did you launch your first website, and what was it?
This is the first one. If it succeeds, it may not be the last.
How did you decide on a name for your website?
I did a search on the internet to find a site that was available, yet related to what I wanted to sell.
What makes it different from other, similar offerings?
I think that home delivery of name brand products to the doorstep at very copmpetitive prices makes my website unique. All of the major brands are represented on my website.
What is your eventual goal? (To sell it, keep it for income, secure a book or other mainstream media deal?)
I want to make some money online. I have always wanted to run an online business.
How does your investment of time and money balance against your success?
Hard to say since I have just started. I know it will require hard work and patience.
If you had an unlimited development budget for development, how would you change your site?
I would advertise my site on TV, radio, and possibly billboards.
If your site got really big, really quickly, would you be able to keep up with the demand?
I have great suppliers, so this would not be a problem. You have to have the right suppliers to handle large volume.
What unexpected costs and headaches have you had to deal with?
Costs of advertising are the biggest headaches. Also, maintaining your website, keeping track of statistics, emails, etc., can be very time consuming.
What has been your biggest challenge?
Getting my wesite to be visible. It takes awhile for your website to be available on search engines.
What method has been most successful for promoting your website?
Word of mouth, and using directed advertising techniques that bring traffic to my wesite. You want potential people who visit your website to be customers who are actually interested in the products you are selling.
How has running your website differed from your expectations?
Like I said, you want instantaneous traffic to your webiste, but that just doesn't happen on its own. You must take the time to advertise your website, submit it to the various search engines, and market it to various forum groups that may have an interest in your products.
How long have you run the site already, and how long will you continue to keep it up if you don't enjoy big gains in traffic, income or popularity?
I have just started the website this month. I intend to keep it running for as long as possible.
