What inspired you to launch your own website?
Always wanted to set up new online business offering a service on a global scale. Now own and run 3 sites.

I launched my first site on 1999

AdvertiseFreeHere.com needed to say exactly what the site was about
What makes it different from other, similar offerings?
The site is growing fast. New countries and categories are been added each day.
What is your eventual goal? (To sell it, keep it for income, secure a book or other mainstream media deal?)
I hope to build the site into a business
If you had an unlimited development budget for development, how would you change your site?
I would make the site a total global communication service. Text and image messaging and usb phone / video service to members.
If your site got really big, really quickly, would you be able to keep up with the demand?
I would like to say yes but if I could build the site to scale to offer a full global communication service
What unexpected costs and headaches have you had to deal with?
Advertising and promoting the site can get frustrating at times.
What has been your biggest challenge?
Self learn web design.
What method has been most successful for promoting your website?
Getting links - paid, free and articles all help. This has to be a on going process to stay ahead.
How has running your website differed from your expectations?
Did not expect to spend so much time promoting.
How long have you run the site already, and how long will you continue to keep it up if you don't enjoy big gains in traffic, income or popularity?
AdvertiseFreeHere.com is only 4 month old but one of my sites is about 8 years old. Its only recently I have stepped promoting all my sites. I don't thing I will give up the sites as they not only produce extra income but they have become a bit of a hobby.
Dose the internet need another free ad site?
Well, no but this site needs to start somewhere. Offering free ads is an ideal way to build a sites popularity and steadily produce an income. This revenue would be put back into business and help build the site into the global communications site I hope to build in the future.
