Local internet based and home church site with the aim of providing useful Christian resources and providing fellowship and outreach opportunities in the local area, including nursing home visits and programs, assistance with spiritual matters and referrals to agencies for specialist assistance where requested. Daily free email devotional available also on request. Part of world wide Christian ministry.
What inspired you to launch your own website?
Lack of similar Christian facility in the local area.
When did you launch your first website, and what was it?
Website was launched this month of April 2008 and is the first website for this local church group.
How did you decide on a name for your website?
The name is Biblically based on the passage where Jesus describes that He gives living water
What makes your website different from other, similar offerings?
It is to my knowledge the only website of its exact type operating from Grafton in NSW
What is your eventual goal? (To sell it, keep it for income, secure a book or other mainstream media deal?)
The goal is to increase the contacts through the site and it will always be free to use and donations of any kind will not be asked for
How does your investment of time and money balance against your success?
The website has only just started so its success cannot be measured yet and the outlay of money is not a consideration as it is a Christian outreach project
If you had an unlimited development budget for development, how would you change your site?
I would not change the current approach
If your site got really big, really quickly, would you be able to keep up with the demand?
Yes and am wiling to devote as much time as needed to the site and get assistance when and where necessary
What unexpected costs and headaches have you had to deal with?
None so far
What has been your biggest challenge?
Getting exposure on the search engines and making others aware of the website URL
What method has been most successful for promoting your website?
It is so new that it such things cannot be judged yet
How has running your website differed from your expectations?
The same as expectations to date
How long have you run the site already, and how long will you continue to keep it up if you don't enjoy big gains in traffic, income or popularity?
Has been running less than one month and will keep it running if it is used a reasonable amount by visitors
What is the most cost effective method to gain website exposure ?
Would appreciate knowing the answer to this question as funds are limited. Thanks
