Please give us a short summary of your website?

The Club of Mozambique website is as an entryway into Mozambique for prospective investors, businesspersons, donors, and tourists that provides an information portal on the many opportunities and activities that Mozambique has to offer.

What inspired you to launch your own website?

the lack of business and investment opportunities information on the web about Mozambique. And to offer a complete and structured website about Mozambique and for the English community.

When did you launch your first website, and what was it?

It was in 2003. It was a school project website.

How did you decide on a name for your website?

used the same name of my company.

What makes it different from other, similar offerings?

it is the only Mozambique Portal in English here in Mozambique. And the only that covers all aspects of Mozambique in detail.

What is your eventual goal? (To sell it, keep it for income, secure a book or other mainstream media deal?)

I intend to keep it for income, through advertisements

How does your investment of time and money balance against your success?

i spend a daily average of 5 hours on the website, and it's been very well received here in Mozambique, and is attracting a daily average of 900 views.

If you had an unlimited development budget for development, how would you change your site?

hire new members to do daily updates, create a more professional database and add new functionalities

If your site got really big, really quickly, would you be able to keep up with the demand?

Yes i think i would.

What unexpected costs and headaches have you had to deal with?

Time, the biggest problem was time. I had to work overtime to keep all deadlines and the clients are very strict on these deadlines, so Time is the biggest issue

What has been your biggest challenge?

Create an online tourism, business, company directory (with a massive database)

What method has been most successful for promoting your website?

Using Google Adwords campaign

How has running your website differed from your expectations?

it has been a successful run, i expect a little bit more, but for a English website in a Portuguese country i might say im impressed with the results

How long have you run the site already, and how long will you continue to keep it up if you don't enjoy big gains in traffic, income or popularity?

The site has been running for 10 months, and if it doesn't reach my expectation in income and traffic in the next 12 months, i will see what to do next

Did you received any bad comments?

Until now, i've received only 1 bad comment out of 100. So im pleased
