The Grenada Community and Business directory was designed to bring attention to community events and spotlight our local artist and crafts.

What inspired you to launch your own website?

I wanted to promote our community. We have a beautiful lake, many talented artist, a new golf course.

When did you launch your first website, and what was it?

My first site was launched in 2003 and still going strong. The site is http://www.decorating-country-home.com

How did you decide on a name for your website?

It was easy. Named it what the site pertained to.

What makes your website different from other, similar offerings?

I personalize our community and our local artist

What is your eventual goal? (To sell it, keep it for income, secure a book or other mainstream media deal?)

I'll keep it. I hope to promote tourism and awareness of our community.

How does your investment of time and money balance against your success?

I don't worry about it. Just hope the site is a service to the community.

If you had an unlimited development budget for development, how would you change your site?

Hire people to help with the site.

If your site got really big, really quickly, would you be able to keep up with the demand?

Sure, I could afford it!

What unexpected costs and headaches have you had to deal with?

None so far.

What has been your biggest challenge?

Having the time to work on the site, work my day job, spend time with my family. Time is precious real estate.

What method has been most successful for promoting your website?

I'm just now starting to promote. I'll need tons of back links, word of mouth and a million refrigerator magnets lol

No

How long have you run the site already, and how long will you continue to keep it up if you don't enjoy big gains in traffic, income or popularity?
