What inspired you to launch your own website?

To promote our companies services. H & S Specialties is a small company starting in business in 1992.

If you had an unlimited development budget for development, how would you change your site?

Nothing, our goal is not to become a major industry leader. We are in business to work with our customers and meet their need for a solutions company that can maintain a one on one relationship with each of its customers. We want to work closely with each customer when required, but have the experience to meet their requirments based on our knowledge of thermoplatics injection molded parts. Large companies tend to lose site of this as a major need for other small companies in the industry.

What has been your biggest challenge?

One of our major customers came to us with some parts that were sub miniature in nature. These types of parts are extremely difficult to work with and our customer was having quality problems with their current supplier. We worked closely with the designers and engineers from this company, ironing out all of the issues. We have been making parts for this company for several years now, with extreme accuracy and minimal defective parts.

What method has been most successful for promoting your website?

We have not utilized any other methods of advertising other than direct mail and telemarketing. Attempting to get a ranking with the search enginees has been a long and tedious process. Doing it manually takes a tremendous amount of time. However, being a small company, our advertising budget is limited, so we do not have the finances available to pay for the service. All returns on investment are put back into the machines for new machines and improvements.
