What is the Mountaineer Alliance?

The Mountaineer Alliance is a social marketing and networking group for WVU Alumni living or working in the Washington, DC area including Maryland and Virginia.

What inspired you to launch your own website?

Mountaineers are very loyal and we believe that given a choice Mountaineers would prefer to do business with other Mountaineers.

When did you launch your first website?

The website was launched in 2008 but we've been meeting in person monthly since 2006.

What are your plans for the website?

Our goal is for mountaineeralliance.com to become a community for West Virginia University Alumni to connect, blog, chat, network, post jobs and just hang out with other Mountaineers.

What makes your website different from other, similar offerings?

We're part of the National Capital Area Alumni WVU Alumni Association, but we're focused on being the business alliance and not just a social group.
