When did you start your website and why?
We started this website a few weeks ago with the main intention of trying to grab the attention of Internet surfers long enough to pursuade them to purchase our fabulous products! Happy Macaroni Designs is dedicated to providing unique although eccentric designs. We just want to have fun designing and let the sales just happen. If we create something crazy enough, it might just capture the world.
Please give us a short summary of your website, business model, etc
We outsource the printing and delivery of our product so that we can focus on our true love of designing. We have chosen a very reputable company with the speed and capability to gently aid the customer through the purchase process and painlessly sooth them with speedy delivery of a very high quality product. From sale to print to ship in just 3-5 days!
What has been the most difficult part of creating and running your website?
Meeting the needs and goals of our creative and production departments. We absolutely love our tech staff!
What has been the easist part of operating your website?
There is no easy part. Hard work and dedication will help us succeed. New t-shirt designs are going out as live products every few days. Most of the processes have been finalized and we are operating much smoother now.
What was your biggest mistake?
Not getting started sooner!
Who maintains your website and why?
We chose to let our in house tech staff do the design. They have demonstrated great patience with us and we have all come out on top.
Tell us how your business has benefitted from your website?
Now we can accept online payments and hopefully start selling wholesale. The new exposure may also help us get our products on the store shelves!
What are your views on ecommerce and the future of the internet?
It's definately going to keep changing and we're all going to struggle to keep up until we decide to unplug and go fishing.
What are your views on Search Engine Optimization (SEO)?
I definately think that the search engines should be optimized. LOL
What are your views on Search Engines? Have they helped or hindered your website?
Overall these are a great tool but I think word of mouth has always been a far greater marketing tool. Who do you think helps sell more girl scout cookies, the internet? or The little girl next door?
What method has been most successful for promoting your website?
Word of mouth. Get out there and actually meet some people and you get a better perspective on why we all do this in the first place.
What method has been least successful for promoting your website?
That crazy email marketing. I sent an email to my mother, she still hasn't visited my web site. LOL
What would you like to see change with respect to the internet?
Not a single thing. It's a virtual world with virtually everything we could ever want. Maybe make it faster?
