What inspired you to launch your own website?
A very dear angelic supporter and generous designer offered to donate the construction and maintenance of a Website for The Louisville Chorus. The marketing and widespread exposure has drawn numerous singers and patrons to The Louisville Chorus.
When did you launch your first website, and what was it?
This was the first Web site, launched over 10 years ago.
How did you decide on a name for your website?
It is simply a link to fastzone.com - the owner's Website.
What makes it different from other, similar offerings?
Offering the widest in varietal repertoire - appealing to the most broad sector of the community. Longevity, since The Louisville Chorus is the longest-thriving choral arts agency in Kentuckiana. Most frequently performing and recording choral arts agency in the area.
What is your eventual goal? (To sell it, keep it for income, secure a book or other mainstream media deal?)
Keep until a decision is made to have a personally owned Website.
How does your investment of time and money balance against your success?
The artistic successes are far greater the the financial assets.
If you had an unlimited development budget for development, how would you change your site?
Would change only the title to TheLouisvilleChorus.net or .com. The content is wonderful as is and we are eternally grateful.
If your site got really big, really quickly, would you be able to keep up with the demand?
No doubt, since we have survived for 69 seasons of continual growth and success.
What has been your biggest challenge?
Insufficient funds.
What method has been most successful for promoting your website?
Apparently reputation. Zero dollars have been spent on promoting the site, other than inclusion of URL in already existing season material.
How long have you run the site already, and how long will you continue to keep it up if you don't enjoy big gains in traffic, income or popularity?
Over 10 years and will continue so long as it is feasible. logical, and offered by the donor. In the future, will produce and maintain own site.
