When did you start your website and why?
I started my site in 1999. It was a year after I moved to Japan. I had a really hard time finding information.

This site has information for everyone and it is free. Whether you are an expat, traveler, or resident. Find information on schools taught in English here in Japan.
What has been the most difficult part of creating and running your website?
Getting my website to look the way I want it to. Also trying out how to best display my sites content where it is easy to find.
What has been the easist past of operating your website?
I would have to say surfing the net for good information about Japan.
Who maintains your website and why?
I do, because I know every part of it.
Tell us how your business has benfited from your website?
My site has yet to get me any money at all. It is my expensive hobby.
What are your views on ecommerce and the future of the internet?
I think the internet will become more portable in the future. So e-commerce will become cross into the real world.
What are your views on Search Engine Optimization (SEO)?
I think it is a pain in the backside but I understand the need for it.
What are your views on Search Engines? Have they helped or hindered your website?
I think they are a great help. Google has done wonders for the internet and the search engines.
What method has been most successful for promoting your website?
Talking to people I have met, either in everyday life or oline.
What method has been least successful for promoting your website?
Just building content that people need and making it easy to find.
What would you like to see change with respect to the internet?
I don't want anyone to push their ideas on the net, so no comment.
Why do you wish to continue to run a website?
Because I like to help people and if my experience can do that it makes me feel that all the trouble I have been through in Japan is not such a bad thing.
