When did you start your website and why?
I started the website in 2003 in order to inform visitors about real estate for sale and rent on the Italian Riviera . Apart from descriptions about properties for sale in Liguria , there are many articles which provide interesting information about this famous italian region .
Please give us a short summary of your website, business model, etc
The website show 1 property for sale on each site . The visitor can get a first impression by looking at various pics and reading the description and can then ask for more information or a viewing appointment .
What has been the most difficult part of creating and running your website?
The most difficult part was to raise the visitorīs traffic on the site . I would love to get many more visitors soon !
What has been the easist past of operating your website?
The easiest part is writing about interesting areas and providing lots of useful information about Liguria and Italy in general .
Who maintains your website and why?
Our website is maintained by me and a webmaster . I do the editorial and he does the technical work .
Tell us how your business has benfited from your website?
Since we have the website , we have clients from all over the world . Before we had our own website we adverised in newspapers and could only reach a very limited audience in some resticted regions . THanks to the website we could triple our annual sales .
What are your views on ecommerce and the future of the internet?
Eccommerce is definetively our future and nobody can do without it anymore . Internet has a great future and still lots of potential . In Italy for example only every 5th real estate agency has an own website - can you imagine that??
What are your views on Search Engine Optimization (SEO)?
I think it is very important to dedicate as much time as possible in Search Engine Optimisation . I wish I had a deeper inside knowledge but I keep learning all the time .
What are your views on Search Engines? Have they helped or hindered your website?
I can only say I think they have helped our website to be found , I can not compare how it would have been without search engines . Probably it would be a jungle and totally unorganized , so I think to be listed in search engines helps site to get seen and visitors to find what they want .
What method has been most successful for promoting your website?
I have been succesful with link exchange and article submission as well as subscriptions to forums and blogs .
What method has been least successful for promoting your website?
submitting to search engines , press releases and link exchange . I also have just startde a riviera blog and hope that this will be succesful as well and direct more visitors to our sites .
What would you like to see change with respect to the internet?
I would like to see othe , new search engines catch up with Google . I donīt feel comfortable to depend so much on only one allmighty mega search engine .
Why am I taking the time to fill this out?
