Quality English teaching supplementary materials, necessary for child development. Making English both easy for parents to teach and fun for kids to learn.
What inspired you to launch your own website?
We wanted to reach the global market.
When did you launch your first website, and what was it?
The Talent website. Two years ago.
How did you decide on a name for your website?
It's the name of our company.
What makes it different from other, similar offerings?
Quality - Every step of the way; The materials used in manufacturing the game are todler-friendly, the nouns used were hand-picked by experienced English teachers, the game rules were developed by child psychologists. Our staff of professionals played a great deal of attention to even the smallest detail on every card. Our games are designed so that they can be played by anyone regardless of their knowledge in English. The rules are easy to understand and the illustrations are familiar.
What is your eventual goal? (To sell it, keep it for income, secure a book or other mainstream media deal?)
To sell and promote Talent's products and to educate young minds. We aim to make the process of teaching and learning English more fun for parents, teachers and kids. Talent Card Games are enjoyed by kids all over Israel and it is now our intention to broaden our horizons and seek new markets around the world.
How does your investment of time and money balance against your success?
Talent has invested a great deal of time and effort both in the development and manufacturing and also in the marketing stage and on the website. Our products have already proven themselves in the local market and we believe that they will be successful in the global market as well.
If you had an unlimited development budget for development, how would you change your site?
We'd put some free stuff for downloading and some interactive online flash games for kids.
If your site got really big, really quickly, would you be able to keep up with the demand?
Yes. Absolutely. We keep a large stock at our warehouses.
What has been your biggest challenge?
For many people, acquiring a new language is not an easy task. Among kids, it may often even result in frustration and reluctance. Bearing that in mind, Talent set out to make learning more fun for students and to ease their tensions. Our goal is to make quality games that are both fun and didactic at the same time. That was, and still is, quite a challenge.
What method has been most successful for promoting your website?
Blogs, link-exchange and search engines.
How has running your website differed from your expectations?
It takes a lot of time and effort. More than I've expected.
How long have you run the site already, and how long will you continue to keep it up if you don't enjoy big gains in traffic, income or popularity?
We've run the site for about two years already. We will keep it running for as long as there is a demand for our products.
Who are your games good for and what added value do they have?
Our card games can be enjoyed by everyone and are generally used for: Learning the alphabet. Recognizing letter sounds and phonics. Encouraging observation, sorting, and memory skills. Practicing rhyming skills and vocabulary. Learn while having fun. Motivating reluctant kids.
