When did you start your website and why?

I started it only two weeks ago after discovering a gap in the market for high quality wedding chair cover hire at reasonable prices. I chatted with allot of future brides online, and they were all looking for chair covers for their wedding, but could not afford them. I sourced chair covers and importet them and here I am. After only two weeks in business I have already 8 weddings booked and several quotations out there.

Please give us a short summary of your website, business model, etc

My web-site is a work in progress. What you see today is something I designed my self in Frontpage. I have developed a more complex design and I am currently working on the finnishing touches and am hoping to update in the next few days.

What has been the most difficult part of creating and running your website?

Learning all the programs neede to develope upload and download a web-site. Create forms like opt-in and quotation forms

What has been the easist part of operating your website?

The business idea, design and information

What was your biggest mistake?

Changing, saving and uploading the wrong files....

Who maintains your website and why?

I maintain it myself because it's cheapest that way. I also have 4 other web sites i maintain my self. One is hosted by oscommerce the other with hostica

Tell us how your business has benefitted from your website?

By posting my web site in forums and notice boards I have the majority of my booking from me web site

What are your views on ecommerce and the future of the internet?

The future liea in the internet. All my businesses are based online, and I'm sure I have allot of projects still to come. The internet is the one and only way for businesses to go, no matter what kind.

What are your views on Search Engine Optimization (SEO)?

SEO is a must for a web site in order to reach good alexa ratings. SEO should be taken seriously by any web site owner, it's no point in having a web site without any visitors. More and more people basing their businesses online are now getting clued in on SEO - soon it'll be the survival of the fittest.

What are your views on Search Engines? Have they helped or hindered your website?

In most ways they have helped me as all my web sites have been and are listed as 1, 3 or 6 in google on selected search terms.

What method has been most successful for promoting your website?

Free directories, classified ads, forums, notice boards, blogs, word of mouth and offline marketing, PPC

What method has been least successful for promoting your website?

What would you like to see change with respect to the internet?

we need to add more value and security in order to creat a more trustworthy environment
