Iowa customer service Joy of Training Interview
Name of your website?

JoyofTraining

Your name?

Patricia Watson

Your Location (city, etc)

Mount Pleasant

When did you start your website and why?

I created the site to assist other trainers in connecting with their staff in a common sense manner. As a trainer I know that getting ideas, suggestions and activities in a hurry that actually have value is important to me so I figured it would be important to other people too.

Please give us a short summary of your website, business model, etc

Beginning the site with the most difficult of entities for me was the sales page! I read many, I thought about what motivates me to buy and why would I want to buy an ebook about the Joy of Customer Service Training. When all of those thoughts had been considered I started writing and found that, not only is it fun, but it even helped me to remember the basics of training.

What has been the most difficult part of creating and running your website?

The most difficult part of the whole process is letting people know it's available. The forums, blogs and word of mouth have helped, but it is still a struggle to find the right medium for information on the book for others to find.

What has been the easist part of operating your website?

The easist part of operating the website is having a husband that is an IT whizz! What a joy! And believe me, he has to practice what I preach in my book often!

What was your biggest mistake?

My biggest mistake was waiting to do the book and the followup book on training activities.

Who maintains your website and why?

My husband (and me) because we can!

Tell us how your business has benefitted from your website?

The website assisted me in redirecting my thought processes on training to accomplish the greatest amount of good in the most enjoyable fashion for all those that participate.

What are your views on ecommerce and the future of the internet?

I believe the internet is in it's infancy. Ideas, creative thought, information and design are always good and tne internet facilitates a greater amount of people to access the information quickly and easily.

What are your views on Search Engine Optimization (SEO)?

SEO is critical to the success of any site. If you don't pay attention you can have the best site in the world and no one will find it!

What are your views on Search Engines? Have they helped or hindered your website?

The search engines have helped, but it will get better as the site ages....particularly for Google.

What method has been most successful for promoting your website?

The most successful promoting is through linking to get the site out in the public.

What method has been least successful for promoting your website?

The least successful is word of mouth.....go figure!

What would you like to see change with respect to the internet?

With all of the brilliant minds working on new and creative ideas the list is endless!

You can enter a question of your choice and the answer here: Why should you want to buy this book?

Enjoy training for a change. Find information easily that makes the whole process less stressful for you and more rewarding for your staff. Just think, with just a few sessions you can get a staff that actually enjoys their job, have a culture that is based on positive thoughts and actions. Why wouldn't you want to buy a book that would lead you on the path to successful training?

What is your website address?

Joy of Training
