We also offer less decorative signs for use in your business setting or workplace! These letters will adhere to any smooth, hard surface.~~ What inspired you to launch your own website? I wanted to buy vinyl lettering for myself. It was so expensive, that I decided to get into the business so that I could offer affordable vinyl signs for myself and others. When did you launch your first website, and what was it? In 2006. It was simpler version of my current site. How did you decide on a name for your website? By making lots of lists. I finally thought that Quips and Quotes fit will with what I do. I turn quips and quotes into vinyl signs! What makes it different from other, similar offerings? My prices are much better that similar sites. What is your eventual goal? (To sell it, keep it for income, secure a book or other mainstream media deal?) Keep for income. How does your investment of time and money balance against your success? Not too bad. I am currently ahead! If you had an unlimited development budget for development, how would you change your site? Add video for application instructions. Add better pictures. If your site got really big, really quickly, would you be able to keep up with the demand? Yes, I have people who I could hire who can do the work, What unexpected costs and headaches have you had to deal with? It is a very seasonal job. November and December are really busy What has been your biggest challenge? Keeping current on new ideas. What method has been most successful for promoting your website? Word of mouth How has running your website differed from your expectations? It takes lots of time! It is fun to learn how to build and run the site. How long have you run the site already, and how long will you continue to keep it up if you don't enjoy big gains in traffic, income or popularity? I have run the site (through it's different stages) for about 2 years. I will keep it up until nobody wants to buy viny letters from me. Do you enjoy your business? Yes, I enjoy coming up with new designs. I also like the actual process of cutting and preparing the lettering for people. The finished product is very satisfying. What is your website address?
