It is designed to provide a fee free professional advisory and quotation service for expats. wishing to plan for their ( and their family's ) future financial security.
What inspired you to launch your own website?
Too old to be jetting around the world any longer!
When did you launch your first website, and what was it?
about 2 years ago. It is a "sister" site to the one now being promoted. It focuses entirely on protection issues.
How did you decide on a name for your website?
I needed to use the name "expat" as that is my target clientele and one that I have had 15 years experience with. To ensure that it shows a different 'focus' to its 'sister' site I needed to simply use "save" and "invest" in the name.
What makes your website different from other, similar offerings?
It is soothing, beautiful to look at but not at the expense of excellent content neatly available under separate headings and readable via a well placed scroll box.
What is your eventual goal? (To sell it, keep it for income, secure a book or other mainstream media deal?)

If you had an unlimited development budget for development, how would you change your site?
I wouldn't

What unexpected costs and headaches have you had to deal with?
the marketing both from how to spread the cost and over which sites. the fact that many 3rd party sites that I might wish to advertise or link with dont seem to be able to answer e-mails!
What has been your biggest challenge?
I am dealing with it right now! Eg. trying to make the right decisions - with a limited budget - as to how best to promote my two sites.
What method has been most successful for promoting your website?
this remains to be seen...very early days. My "jetting" around the world has only recently ceased ...and it is only now that the focus is 100% on developing my web based business.
How has running your website differed from your expectations?
remains to be seen !
How long have you run the site already, and how long will you continue to keep it up if you don't enjoy big gains in traffic, income or popularity?
this new "sister" site went "live" last week !
