Please give us a short summary of your website?
We provide CD and DVD Replication and Duplication services. All product guaranteed made in the USA. Audio Mastering, DVD or CD Autoring and Graphic design for associated product also available.
What inspired you to launch your own website?
Many years involved within the music industry. Felt it time to help offer the experience gained and getting best product made for best price for clients.
When did you launch your first website, and what was it?
2003 in the UK. www.digitaldiscduplication.co.uk (same services offered for the UK/European market)
How did you decide on a name for your website?
Company name abbreviates to DDD. Early CD's carried this abbrevation (or variation) showing how the audio was recorded, mixed and mastered. D being for Digital and A for Analogue. ie ADD would mean Analogue recording, Digital Mix and Digital Master.
What makes your website different from other, similar offerings?
Personal experience and not simply customer service representatives. We also maintain manufacturing in the USA (and in the UK for our UK division) and not sourcing overseas manufacturing purely for cheap prices.
What is your eventual goal? (To sell it, keep it for income, secure a book or other mainstream media deal?)
Keep it growing as the industry continues through the changes of media requirements.
How does your investment of time and money balance against your success?
As much time as needed is invested - to date we are growing continually which brings with it further investment requirements (such as staff and additional space etc).
If you had an unlimited development budget for development, how would you change your site?
We are gradually introducing services for Blu-Ray products however with unlimited budget, would develop this much faster.
If your site got really big, really quickly, would you be able to keep up with the demand?
Yes - with back up team in the UK for initial support we could continue to grow our US operations to cope with greater demand without compromising on quality of service or product we offer.
What unexpected costs and headaches have you had to deal with?
Marketing companies not performing resulting less than expected growth for a period.
What has been your biggest challenge?
Starting the business at same time when first child born!
What method has been most successful for promoting your website?
Website advertising/search engines but also customer referrals.
How has running your website differed from your expectations?
Not really although forever changing algorithms to keep search engines happy is a challenge
How long have you run the site already, and how long will you continue to keep it up if you don't enjoy big gains in traffic, income or popularity?
US site launched 2007 and will continue indefinately
What provides the most satisfaction from yur site?
Seeing client projects through from start to finish and the delight and appreciation shown when project completes.
