Business Intelligence Consultancy - trying to educate the world to the benefits of implementing a BI platform in their business.

What inspired you to launch your own website?

When I created my own company.

When did you launch your first website, and what was it?

May 2006. It was terrible. Looks significantly better now!

How did you decide on a name for your website?

It is the name of my company. That was named by my Wife and I after a couple of bottles of Pinot Noir...

What makes it different from other, similar offerings?

Very few other BI consultancies around that can offer the combination of expertise and experience, combined with a dedicated, personal touch.

What is your eventual goal? (To sell it, keep it for income, secure a book or other mainstream media deal?)

Global domination?

How does your investment of time and money balance against your success?

Simple, if you don't put in the time, you won't get the reward. You don't have to put in a lot of money, but it helps.

If you had an unlimited development budget for development, how would you change your site?

Live fully interactive reporting demonstration (with pivots, dashboards etc.)

If your site got really big, really quickly, would you be able to keep up with the demand?

yes, I have a lot of spare time when I'm working away from home

none

What has been your biggest challenge?

I'm impatient

Google

How has running your website differed from your expectations?

I've enjoyed it a lot more than I expected to.

How long have you run the site already, and how long will you continue to keep it up if you don't enjoy big gains in traffic, income or popularity?

18 months, it will stay up as long as I have Purple Frog.
