Guide2Croatia.net is launching on the 1st May. It is part of a worldwide franchise network of Guide2TheWorld websites from Small World New Media Ltd. It is aimed at all English speakers with an interest in Living in Croatia, travelling to Croatia or buying property (real estate) in Croatia. Small world New Media will shortly be launching sites in Bristol, France, Bosnia, Montenegro and Slovenia.
What inspired you to launch your own website?
Lack of effective guides to countries across the world.
When did you launch your first website, and what was it?
I launched FrenchEntree-Limousin a website on the Limousin region of France in 2004,
How did you decide on a name for your website?
I wanted something that did what it said on the packet and is memorable. Guide2Croatia fulfills both these criteria.
What makes your website different from other, similar offerings?
The design is dynamic and cutting edge. It is easy to navigate around and it's a one stop shop, there's no need to look elsewhere.
What is your eventual goal? (To sell it, keep it for income, secure a book or other mainstream media deal?)
To have a Guide2TheWorld website in every town, city and country in the world.
How does your investment of time and money balance against your success?
It's very early days but I'm excited about the future. The business and its shareholders have invested significant time and money in this venture and believe the returns will be warrant this investment for both our business and also our franchisees.
If you had an unlimited development budget for development, how would you change your site?
I wouldn't change anything just now. Our development up until now has not been constrained by budget limitations.
If your site got really big, really quickly, would you be able to keep up with the demand?
Yes.
What unexpected costs and headaches have you had to deal with?
None really, we've gone over budget on many things but I don't think that's paticularly unexpected when launching a new venture.
What has been your biggest challenge?
I believe the biggest challenges are yet to come.
What method has been most successful for promoting your website?
We are still in a launch stage and heavy promotion is yet to start but I believe there are a lot of good free ways of promoting ones site such as this website.
How has running your website differed from your expectations?
No.
How long have you run the site already, and how long will you continue to keep it up if you don't enjoy big gains in traffic, income or popularity?
We are in a launch period.
How do you intend to expand your business
Guide2TheWorld specialises in providing English language internet guides aimed at English speaking residents, tourists and property buyers across the world. We aim to have a Guide2theWorld site in every continent, country, city and town on the planet. We aim to meet our ambitious expansion plans by franchising out the opportunity to run a Guide2TheWorld site to entrepreneurs seeking a business that will provide superb financial rewards, stand the test of time and also create a business of real value to yourself and the community.
